Honeybush
Somewhat eclipsed by the world-wide success of Rooibos, Honeybush, natural tea from South Africa, is finally getting the attention it deserves. It is a fragrant and 
lightly sweet infusion prepared from the honey-scented flowers, leaves and stems of the Cyclopia herb. The flavor description varies from that of hot apricot jam, faintly floral, honey, and dried fruit mix with the overall impression of sweetness. Like rooibos, honeybush does not become bitter with extended steeping and it is as delicious iced as it is hot.
And like rooibos, it is indigenous to South Africa, honeybush is caffeine free, and low in tannins. And although considerable research has been conducted on rooibos, the scientific studies on honeybush are not extensive enough to make medical claims. However, from studies so far, honeybush tea is believed to have anti-carcinogenic ( cancer-fighting ), anti-fungal, antispasmodic and anti-depressant properties.
